Our Business

AM Hire began life as a car recovery and repair business in 1984. Back then, we had two courtesy cars but that number soon grew to 30 and the subsequent variety of cars meant that we could effectively cater for private and corporate clients.

In 1996, we bought our first transit van, expanding our client base once more to include the commercial sector.

Four years later, AM Hire required purpose build facilities to cater for our growing fleet -

2000 saw the opening of our Newcastle branch...

2007 saw the opening of our Gateshead branch...

and 2010 saw the opening of our Sunderland branch.

AM Hire has enjoyed continuous growth across all sectors due to our fundamental ethos – deliver quality, deliver professionalism, deliver on time and always put the customer first.

The fact that our success is largely due to referrals and repeat clients, tells us that we’ve been getting it right for 10 years.
